How do I recover BEP20 sent to an Exodus VET mainnet address on desktop?

  1. Sending BEP20 tokens requires BNB (BSC) to pay for the network fees. This means to recover the BEP20 VeChain tokens sent to your mainnet VeChain address, you will need some BNB (BSC). As a first step, please ensure you have sent some BNB (BSC) on the BNB Smart Chain network to your VeChain address to that you accidentally sent your funds BEP20 VET to.

There are 2 types of BNB. When sending BNB to your VET address, make sure it is BNB (BSC) on the BNB Smart Chain network.

  2. First, you will need to prepare your wallet so you can recover the BEP20 VET sent to your VeChain address, and you will need to enable BEP20 VET as a custom token in your wallet. In your Exodus Wallet, a) click the Settings Icon and b) click Assets. Then c) click the three dots, and d) select Add Custom Token.

  3. a) select the BNB Smart Chain network and b) click Search.

  4. Now you will need to a) enter the contract address of the token you want to recover, then b) click on the token to enable it.

The contract address for BEP20 VET is: 0x6FDcdfef7c496407cCb0cEC90f9C5Aaa1Cc8D888

  5. Click Add Token.

  6. After enabling BEP20 VET, go back to your Exodus Desktop wallet and a) click the Wallet icon, then b) open the VET wallet that you sent BEP20 VET to. c) Click the More icon and d) select View Private Keys. If you have set a password for the wallet, you will be asked to enter it.

  7. Copy the VET private key. To copy the VET private key, double-click it or highlight it with your mouse cursor. With your keyboard, on Windows, press CTRL+C to copy, if you are on Mac, press CMD+C.

Please be very careful with your private keys, because they control access to your funds. Never share them with anyone, and only import them into platforms that you trust 100%.
