What is Zerion and how to use it

If you're a crypto trader and you've never heard of Zerion, you're about to learn something super useful!

The Zerion app is a DeFi tracking platform that lets users see all of their crypto assets and transactions in one dashboard. Zerion automatically tracks transactions from multiple blockchains and protocols, and displays the information in one place.

Zerion’s mission is to make crypto accessible to everyone. In particular, the Zerion software is designed to look like traditional web2 protocols, so users are already familiar with the layout.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Zerion app. In the final section of this article we’ve also included a guide to using Zerion with the Exodus web3 wallet.

    How does Zerion work?

The most important feature to understand is that Zerion is not a wallet. The only way to use Zerion is to connect your existing crypto wallets to the platform, so that Zerion can track your transactions. The Zerion app’s primary advantage is that it displays transactions from multiple cryptocurrency wallets in a single, centralized dashboard.

Zerion is similar to a product like Kubera, for stocks. Both products connect to other financial platforms and display financial data in a dashboard.

In addition to the web protocol, the Zerion app is also available for Apple and Android.

    Is Zerion safe to use?

Yes, the Zerion app is safe to use. Zerion currently has a 4.5 rating on Trustpilot, which is quite high. The company was founded in 2016 which means that it’s been around for 8 years, well above the average lifespan for a cryptocurrency product. Furthermore, since Zerion only tracks crypto and doesn’t custody coins, if the protocol was hacked it’s unlikely that users would lose any funds.

Other features in the Zerion app

Zerion has a built-in exchange feature so that users can swap cryptocurrencies. One of the best advantages of using Zerion is that the app automatically searches the entire DeFi ecosystem to find the best exchange rate. Zerion also displays the gas fee so that users know exactly how much the transaction will cost.

Since Zerion doesn’t custody crypto assets, anyone who wants to use the exchange feature will need to give Zerion permission to access their crypto wallet and submit a transaction.

Zerion doesn’t have its own exchange, instead the trades are routed through popular decentralized exchanges like Curve and Uniswap. More information about using Zerion to exchange crypto assets is available here.

In addition to the exchange feature, it’s also possible to use Zerion to buy Ethereum (ETH). All you need to do is open the Zerion app and click on “Buy Crypto.” Zerion is connected to several different payment providers, including Ramp Network and Moonpay. Zerion accepts debit cards and SEPA bank transfers. More information is available here.

    Is there a Zerion coin?

Zerion does not have a native token. If anyone promotes a Zerion token it’s almost certainly a fraud. The only exception will be if the company releases a Zerion coin in the future.
