How do I connect to a dApp if Exodus isn't on the list?

If you're trying to connect to a dApp or web3 app with Exodus Web3 Wallet, you might not see Exodus in the list of wallets.

If selecting Exodus isn't an option, connect by clicking on a different wallet with the Prioritize Exodus feature enabled.

Depending on the network, you can connect by clicking on MetaMask, Phantom, AlgoSigner, or Etrnl. To determine which, jump to: Which wallet should I choose?

Prioritize Exodus is enabled in your wallet by default. You can enable and disable Prioritize Exodus in the Web3 Wallet settings.

Keep Prioritize Exodus enabled to connect to a web3 app without Exodus on the list. Disable Prioritize Exodus if you'd like to connect with a wallet other than Exodus.


How do I connect to a dApp or web3 app?

With Prioritize Exodus enabled, you can connect to a dApp or web3 app by selecting another wallet, depending on the web3 app's network.

  1. a) Navigate to the web3 app and b) click Connect Wallet or Connect in the web3 app.​

  2. If Exodus isn't on the list of wallets, you can connect by clicking on MetaMask, Phantom, AlgoSigner, or Etrnl, depending on the network.

  3. A prompt will show the permissions the web3 app is requesting. To confirm, click Connect.

Your Exodus Web3 Wallet is now connected to the web3 app.


How do I enable and disable Prioritize Exodus?

Prioritize Exodus is enabled by default. Here is how you can manually enable and disable it.

  1. In Exodus Web3 Wallet, a) click the Profile icon, then b) click Settings.

  2. Enable Prioritize Exodus to connect to a web3 app that doesn't have Exodus on the list.

    If you have both Exodus and MetaMask, enable Choose Connection Wallet to choose between them when connecting to a web3 app.

  3. If you've enabled Prioritize Exodus, click Set to confirm.

How do I switch between Exodus and MetaMask?

Enable Choose Connection Wallet to switch between Exodus and MetaMask when Prioritize Exodus is enabled.

Once Choose Connection Wallet is enabled, Exodus will prompt you to choose between Exodus and MetaMask when you connect to a new web3 app.

You can disable Choose Connection Wallet at any time. You can also select the option Always use Exodus in the future.

  1. In Exodus Web3 Wallet, a) click the Profile icon, then b) click Settings.

  2. First, a) ensure Prioritize Exodus is toggled on, then b) toggle on Choose Connection Wallet.

  3. You will be prompted to select a wallet when you connect to a web3 app. Click the Connect With dropdown menu to select your wallet.

  4. Optionally, if you select Exodus, a) you can check Always use Exodus in the future, which will disable Choose Connection Wallet.

    To connect to the web3 app, b) click Connect.

Your Exodus Web3 Wallet is now connected to the web3 app.
