On August 18, 2025, Exodus ended support for Monero (XMR) as part of our efforts to streamline product offerings to align with Exodus’s future strategy.
The Monero (XMR) wallet is no longer available in Exodus, and you won't be able to view your balances or send XMR with Exodus.
How do I access any remaining Monero?
You can still access any remaining XMR by importing your Exodus 12-word secret key or your Monero 25-word mnemonic from Exodus Desktop into a compatible wallet.
For example, Cake Wallet is a self-custody wallet that supports importing your XMR wallet from Exodus, allowing you to continue managing your XMR.
How do I import my Exodus Monero wallet into Cake Wallet?
Cake Wallet is a multichain, self-custody wallet that supports Monero (XMR) and is available on mobile and desktop devices.
Cake Wallet supports importing your Exodus 12-word secret key and Monero 25-word mnemonic from Exodus Desktop.
After importing, you must wait for Cake Wallet to finish syncing. Once synced, you can view and access your XMR in Cake Wallet.

First, you need to download and install Cake Wallet.
For iOS devices, you can download Cake Wallet from the App Store: iOS: Download Cake Wallet.
For Android devices, you can download Cake Wallet from Google Play: Android: Download Cake Wallet
When you open Cake Wallet for the first time, tap Set a PIN.
Create a PIN for your wallet, then enter it again to confirm it.
Tap Restore Wallet.
Select Restore from seed/keys.
a) Select Monero and b) tap Next.
To restore your Exodus Monero wallet in Cake Wallet:
a) Give your wallet a name.
b) Enter your Exodus 12-word secret key. For a guide on how to find it, visit: How do I always have access to my wallet with my 12-word secret key?
c) Make sure to select BIP39 (12 words) and English (seed Language).
d) Enter the block height or date of the first XMR transaction you received with your XMR wallet. If you’re unsure, you can use April 26, 2019, the date Exodus first supported Monero.
e) Finally, tap Restore.
Please be very careful with your 12-word secret key and private keys, because they control access to your funds. Never share them with anyone, and only import them into platforms that you trust 100%. After restoring, please wait for your Monero wallet to finish syncing. The progress is shown at the top of the screen.
Once your Monero wallet is fully synced, a) it will say Synchronized at the top, and b) you can see your Monero balance.

To import your Monero wallet from Exodus into Cake Wallet, you first need your Monero 25-word mnemonic from Exodus.
In Exodus Desktop, click on the Settings icon.
a) Click Assets, b) click on the menu, and c) select Monero Private Keys.
After reading the message, click Yes, I'm sure.
While viewing your private keys and 25-word mnemonic, please make sure no one is around you. The private keys and the 25-word mnemonic are for your eyes only! Please be very careful with your private keys and the 25-word mnemonic because they control access to your funds. Never share them with anyone, and only import them into platforms that you trust 100%. Enter your password and click Unlock Now.
Under Mnemonic, you can view and copy your Monero 25-word mnemonic. You will need it later to import your Monero Wallet from Exodus into Cake Wallet. To copy the 25-word mnemonic first, highlight it by either double-clicking or clicking and dragging over it with your mouse cursor. Then, on your keyboard, press CMD+C on Mac or CTRL+C on Windows to copy. After using the 25-word mnemonic, clear your clipboard data by following the guide: How do I clear my clipboard data?
If the entire 25-word mnemonic isn't visible, resize the window by hovering your cursor over the edge until a double arrow appears, then drag it wider.
Next, you need to download and install Cake Wallet.
For macOS, you can download the Cake Wallet from the Mac App Store: Download Cake Wallet on Mac.
For Windows and Linux, go to the Cake Wallets download page on GitHub, download the install file compatible with your operating system, and run the install file to install Cake Wallet.
For example, to install Cake Wallet on Windows, download the Windows.exe install file.
Please note that Cake Wallet for Windows and Linux is currently in beta. If you have a mobile device, you can install Cake Wallet on Mobile: Cake Wallet on mobile.
When you open Cake Wallet for the first time, click Set a PIN.
Create a PIN for your wallet, then enter it again to confirm it.
Click Restore Wallet.
Select Restore from seed/keys.
a) Select Monero and b) click Next.
To restore your Monero wallet from Exodus in Cake Wallet:
a) Give your wallet a name.
b) Enter your Exodus Monero 25-word mnemonic that you viewed in step 5. You can click on the paste icon to enter it if you copied it.
c) Make sure to select Legacy (25 words) and English (seed Language).
d) Enter the block height or date of the first XMR transaction you received with your XMR wallet. If you’re unsure, you can use April 26, 2019, the date Exodus first supported Monero.
e) Finally, tap Restore.
After restoring, please wait for your Monero wallet to finish syncing. The progress is shown at the top of the screen.
Once your Monero wallet is fully synced, a) it will say Synchronized at the top, and b) you can see your Monero balance.
How do I view my transaction history in Cake Wallet?
After importing your Exodus Monero (XMR) wallet into Cake Wallet, you'll be able to view your XMR transaction history.
To view your XMR transaction history, your XMR wallet in Cake Wallet needs to be fully synced. For more information on syncing, visit Cake Wallet's guide.
Cake Wallet on mobile
In Cake Wallet, on the main wallet screen, swipe left to reveal the transaction history menu on the right.
Here, you can view your transactions. You can tap on each transaction to view more details.

How do I view my Monero 25-word mnemonic and private keys?
In Exodus Desktop, you can still view your Monero private keys and 25-word mnemonic to import your XMR into a compatible wallet.
If you use Exodus Mobile to view your mnemonic or private keys, you must first sync your wallet to Exodus Desktop. Follow these steps to sync your wallet to Desktop: How do I sync Exodus Mobile to Exodus Desktop?
In Exodus Desktop, click on the Settings icon.

After reading the message, click Yes, I'm sure.
Enter your password and click Unlock Now to view your private keys.

From here, you can view your Monero 25-word mnemonic and all your private keys.

What if I hold XMR on my Trezor?
When Exodus ended support for XMR, it did not affect the XMR stored in your Trezor.
While you can no longer access your XMR through Exodus, you can still access it by connecting your Trezor to a compatible wallet that supports Monero and Trezor.
