How do I create a new EOS account in Exodus?
There are two ways that you can create a new EOS account in Exodus.
One way to quickly create an EOS account is to swap from any asset to EOS with Exodus Swap.
This is because swapping to EOS for the first time creates a new account.
When creating your account, some EOS is used to purchase RAM, which is required to create an account on EOS. The amount needed varies depending on EOS network conditions.
You can also create an EOS account by sending EOS from a different platform to your Exodus wallet. Here's how:
Mobile
In your EOS wallet, a) tap on the receive icon.
Next, tap on I already have EOS.
You will see a screen with the information you need to create an EOS account. From an existing EOS wallet, send 10 or more EOS to a) exodussignup and b) paste the memo before sending.
The EOS account name, exodussignup, is only used when creating an account. Do not send funds to this account after your account is created.
Return to your newly created Exodus EOS wallet, and you should see the incoming transaction from the account creation and account details.

How do I add an EOS account?
You can add an existing EOS account to your Exodus wallet, but only if there isn’t already an EOS account set up in your Exodus wallet.
This feature is only available on Exodus Desktop.
In your EOS wallet, a) click on the menu in the top right corner, then b) click Add Account.
Now paste in your EOS private key from your existing EOS wallet and click Import.
The account is now available in your Exodus wallet, as well as the original EOS wallet.
Can I use multiple EOS accounts inside Exodus?
Currently, it's not possible to use multiple EOS accounts with Exodus.
Why do I get an error about keys not providing access?
If you've used your Exodus EOS account in another EOS wallet, you may have unintentionally changed your account’s key permissions.
EOS has a unique account system that allows you to delegate transaction permissions without needing to create a smart contract or use a multi-signature wallet
If that's the case, you have two options:
Update the key permissions in your other EOS wallet. Since the process varies by platform, we recommend doing your own research on how to proceed.
I've created multiple EOS accounts, but only one shows in Exodus
Currently, it's not possible to use multiple EOS accounts within Exodus, though multiple accounts can sometimes be created by mistake.
If this happens, you can reset your EOS account. During the reset, Exodus will perform EOS account discovery to search for available accounts. Once completed, you'll be able to choose which account you want to activate in Exodus.
How do I reset my account?
If your Exodus wallet didn't properly claim your account or the EOS public and private key permissions have been changed, you can use this option to reset your account.
If more than one account is linked to your public key, Exodus will show you all available accounts. You can choose which account you want to be active in your Exodus wallet.

What is EOS staking?
On the EOS network, you can stake (or bond) your EOS to receive network resources such as CPU and NET, which are necessary to perform transactions.
Do I need to stake EOS?
No, in Exodus you do not need to stake EOS in order to send your transaction.
If you don't have enough resources, your wallet will use EOS and pay a transaction fee to rent the necessary network resources. This will allow you to make several free transactions within a 24-hour period or until your resources are used up.
However, if you use EOS frequently, providing sufficient staked EOS helps to ensure you can transact without using all of your daily requirements on the EOS Network.

How can I view my EOS transaction history?
From October 2024, the EOS network was changed to light support in Exodus, and going forward, your EOS transaction history in Exodus will now only display transactions that you've sent from Exodus.
Transactions that you receive with your EOS wallet will no longer show in your transaction history.
To view your full transaction history, visit the EOS block explorer and search for your EOS account: Bloks.io.
If your wallet is synced on multiple devices, the send transaction details will only appear on the device from which they are sent.
If you restore your wallet, both the incoming and outgoing transaction history will no longer show.
Why can't I send all of my EOS?
Your EOS wallet requires a minimum balance of 0.1 EOS to ensure you have enough resources (CPU, NET, RAM) to perform basic actions in the future. This amount cannot be sent.
This EOS minimum balance helps prevent your account from becoming inactive due to a lack of resources.
Can I vote for block producers in Exodus?
Currently, it is not possible to vote for block producers inside Exodus.
Block producers run the underlying network layer to process all transactions, set governance rules, and form consensus on the EOS network.
Voting for block producers is optional on the EOS network; however, doing so allows EOS users to influence the direction and security of the network
To vote for your favorite block producers, you would have to use a third-party wallet.
I have ERC20 EOS OLD. What can I do with it?
In June 2018, EOS began its transition from an ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain to the EOS mainnet.
After the migration, all EOS ERC20 tokens were frozen. It is no longer possible to transfer them, and they no longer hold any value.
However, depending on the situation, there may be a possibility to claim your mainnet EOS if you held ERC20 EOS old before the mainnet launch and you haven’t yet claimed your tokens. To learn if this option is still available to you, please reach out to Exodus Support at [email protected].
