How do I keep Exodus Pay secure?
When you sign up for Exodus Pay, you create a passkey to secure access to your account. To learn more, visit: How do I protect my account?
Exodus Pay is integrated with your self-custody Exodus wallet. Your Exodus Pay cash balance reflects the XO Cash (XO) on the Solana network held in your wallet, and your 12-word secret key controls access to those funds. As long as you have your secret key, you can restore your wallet and access your balance.
While your secret key secures your funds, accessing your Exodus Pay account requires the phone number you originally used to sign up. This protects access to features such as your card details.
To add an extra layer of protection, write down your 12-word secret key and store it in a secure location. Never share it with anyone, and never store unencrypted digital copies.
To find your secret key, switch to your Exodus wallet and follow the steps in our guide: How do I always have access to my wallet with my 12-word secret key?
