What should I know when using my Exodus Card?
PINs: The Exodus Card does not currently support a PIN. If you are prompted to enter a PIN at a payment terminal, you may be able to continue by pressing the confirmation button without entering a PIN, depending on the merchant and transaction type.
Pre-authorization charges: Some merchants may use pre-authorization charges, which are temporary holds on part of your available balance, to confirm that a card is valid and has sufficient funds.
You must also have enough available balance to cover the pre-authorization, or the transaction may fail. In some cases, the pre-authorization charge can exceed the amount you're spending. Any unused funds are credited back to your card, typically within 48 hours.
Pre-authorization charges are only supported if your Exodus card was issued in the US. International cards do not currently support pre-authorizations.
Physical cards: Your Exodus Card is currently available only as a virtual card. Physical cards are not available, and ATM withdrawals are not supported.
Terminal Payments: In some countries, such as Brazil and other parts of Latin America, international and prepaid cards can only be processed as credit. If the payment terminal is set to debit, the transaction may fail or require a PIN. Ask the merchant to select credit instead.
Refunds and credits: If you receive a refund, credit, or transaction reversal, the amount will be credited back to your Exodus Card.
