How do I send crypto from Coinbase to Exodus?

How do I send crypto from Coinbase to Exodus?

Coinbase is a third-party platform that is not affiliated with Exodus. As such, Exodus cannot guarantee the performance of its products/services or that the steps shown and the information provided will always be accurate.

Mobile

  1. First, sign in to your Coinbase account and tap Send.

  2. Tap the asset you would like to send to your Exodus wallet.

  3. In Exodus Mobile, copy the address for the asset you're sending from Coinbase. If you're not sure how to find your receive address, you can follow this guide: How do I receive Bitcoin and other crypto in Exodus?

    Make sure to correctly identify the network to receive your funds in Exodus. Only send funds on supported networks

  4. In Coinbase, paste the copied Exodus address into the To field.

  5. Next, a) enter a specific amount in your local fiat currency or cryptocurrency to send or b) send it all by tapping Max.

  6. Choose the network to send your funds on.

    Make sure the network you choose is the same as the network for your Exodus asset in Step 3. If these networks are not the same, your funds will not appear in your Exodus wallet.

  7. If you would like, you can a) add a note to the transaction (this note is only visible in Coinbase), then b) tap Preview.

  8. Review your transaction details, then tap Send now.

  9. If required, enter the code from your authenticator app to continue.

  10. And that's it! Your funds will be received shortly in your Exodus wallet. To monitor the status of your transaction, a) tap View transaction. Otherwise, b) tap Done.


Desktop

  1. First, sign in to your Coinbase account and click Send & Receive.

  2. In the Send tab, you can a) enter a specific amount in your local fiat currency or cryptocurrency or b) send your entire balance by clicking Send all.

  3. To select the asset you would like to send to Exodus, click Pay with.

  4. In Exodus Desktop, copy the address for the asset you're sending from Coinbase. If you're not sure how to find your receive address, you can follow this guide: How do I receive Bitcoin and other crypto in Exodus?

    Make sure to correctly identify your asset's network to receive your funds in Exodus. Only send funds on supported networks.

  5. In Coinbase, paste the copied Exodus address into the To field.

  6. If you would like, you can a) add a note to the transaction (this note is only visible in Coinbase), then b) click Continue.

  7. a) Choose the network to send your funds on, then b) click Send now.

    Make sure the network you choose is the same as the network for your Exodus asset in Step 4. If these networks are not the same, your funds will not appear in your Exodus wallet.

  8. If required, enter the code from your authenticator app to continue.

  9. And that's it! You will see your crypto in your Exodus wallet as soon as the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain. To monitor the status of your transaction, a) click View transaction. Otherwise, b) click Done.


Web3 Wallet

  1. First, sign in to your Coinbase account and click Send & Receive.

  2. In the Send tab, you can a) enter a specific amount in your local fiat currency or cryptocurrency or b) send your entire balance by clicking Send all.

  3. To select the asset you would like to send to Exodus, click Pay with.

  5. In Coinbase, paste the copied Exodus address into the To field.

Do I need to use a memo or destination tag when sending crypto to Exodus?

When sending crypto to a self-custody wallet, like Exodus, you do not need to use a memo or destination tag.

Memos and destination tags are used by centralized exchanges to identify incoming transactions so the proper exchange account can be credited.

Is there a fee to transfer crypto from Coinbase to Exodus?

All crypto transactions sent from one wallet to another will incur a network transaction fee.

How long does sending from Coinbase to Exodus take?

The amount of time it will take for your transaction to be deposited into your Exodus wallet depends on the asset you've sent and which network it uses.

Each network processes and confirms transactions at different speeds. Once Coinbase broadcasts your transaction to the network, the time it takes to receive your funds will depend on the network's block time and the transaction fee set for the transaction.
