VeChain's network upgrade has ended the automatic generation of VTHO rewards when holding VET.
Your VET and VTHO balances and transfers will continue to work as usual, but VTHO rewards are no longer generated automatically.

VeChain staking rewards have ended
As of December 2025, VeChain launched the Hayabusa network upgrade, which ended the ability to automatically generate VTHO rewards by holding VET.
This means you'll no longer automatically earn and generate VTHO by holding VET in Exodus or any other wallet.
All VET and VTHO balances will continue to function normally, but without VET balances automatically generating VTHO rewards.

What’s next for VeChain rewards?
Although holding VET no longer generates VTHO automatically, VeChain now offers a new method for staking and earning rewards.
