How is it possible to send tokens on the wrong network?
Some networks use the same address formats, although the networks are not compatible with each other.
Exodus does not support the KCC network. However, KCC is an EVM-compatible network that uses the same address format as many other EVM networks.
If you accidentally send unsupported KCC tokens to Exodus, the assets will reach the destination address. However, you won't be able to see the tokens in Exodus as the KCC network is not supported.
This guide will review how to recover unsupported KCC tokens sent to an Exodus wallet.
How do I recover unsupported KCC tokens sent to my Exodus wallet?
Exodus Mobile
You can recover unsupported KCC tokens sent to Exodus with MetaMask, here's how:

Download Exodus Desktop here.
Next, write down your mobile wallet's 12-word secret key. To find this, visit: How do I back up my wallet and write down my 12-word secret key?
Please be very careful with your 12-word secret key and private keys, because they control access to your funds. Never share them with anyone, and only import them into platforms that you trust 100%. If you choose to import your secret key or private keys into a third-party platform, you do so at your own risk. Next, you must restore your mobile wallet to the desktop wallet you just downloaded. For instructions, please visit: How do I restore from my 12-word secret key?
The rest of the instructions are the same as the KCC tokens sent to Exodus Desktop section.
If you do not have access to a trusted computer, you can recover your KCC tokens with your 12-word secret key and the MetaMask mobile app.
This process is not recommended unless you don't have a trusted desktop computer, as it exposes your Exodus 12-word secret key. Desktop methods only use the private key of one asset, which is far more secure. You can read more about the risks of using your 12-word secret key here: Using the secret 12-word secret key.
Go to MetaMask's website and install the mobile MetaMask wallet. Open MetaMask and tap on Import using Secret Recovery Phrase.
a) Enter your Exodus 12-word secret key with a space between each word. b) Set a strong password, and c) tap Import.
Tap on the network icon in the top left of your screen.
Tap Add a custom network.
Enter the following details to add the KCC network:
a) Network Name: KCC Mainnet
b) RPC-URL: https://rpc-mainnet.kcc.network
c) Chain ID: 321
d) Symbol: KCS
e) Click Save to continue.
Once you have added the network, tap on the network icon in the top left corner.
Select KCC Mainnet.
Your wallet is now switched to the KCC network, and a) you can see KCS, the network's main asset. If you don't see your token yet, you'll need to add it. b) Tap Import Tokens.
To add a token, you'll need the token's contract address. Here's how you can find it:
Visit the token list on the KCC scan explorer. Search for your token and tap on it: scan.kcc.io/tokens.
Copy the tokens contract address.
Back in MetaMask, after tapping Import Tokens, as shown in step 8, a) paste the contract address and b) tap Next.
You should now see the token you added.
You can now access the tokens with MetaMask and send them back to the original platform or wallet from which you sent them.
To send KCC tokens, you'll need some KCS on the KuCoin Community Chain to pay for the network transaction fees. KCS can be acquired from KuCoin, and should be sent to your MetaMask wallet using the KCC network.
Exodus Desktop
MetaMask is a third-party platform that is not affiliated with Exodus. As such, Exodus cannot guarantee the performance of its products/services or that the steps shown and the information provided will always be accurate.
Go to MetaMask's website and download the MetaMask wallet.
Next, open your Exodus wallet, and find the private key of the wallet you accidentally sent KCC tokens to: How do I view my private keys?
Open MetaMask and import your Exodus private key by clicking on Import Account. For a full guide, see the MetaMask guide Importing an Account.
After importing your private key, you'll need to add the KCC network. Click on Enabled networks.
a) Click on the Custom tab and b) select Add custom network.
Enter the following details to add the KCC network:
a) Network Name: KCC Mainnet
b) Default RPC URL: https://rpc-mainnet.kcc.network
c) Chain ID: 321
d) Symbol: KCS
e) To continue, click Save.
Once you have added the network, a) under the Custom tab, b) make sure KCC Mainnet is selected.
Your wallet is now switched to the KCC network, and a) you can see KCS, the network's main asset. If you don't see your token yet, you'll need to add it. b) click the three dots to the right, and c) click Import Tokens.
To add a token, you'll need the token's contract address. Here's how you can find it:

Back in MetaMask, after tapping Import Tokens, as shown in step 8, a) select the KCC Mainnet, b) paste the contract address, and c) click Next.

Trezor
To recover KCC tokens sent to a Trezor, you can connect your Trezor to MetaMask to access them.

The Ledger integration in Exodus Mobile does not support KCC tokens.
