What is MoonPay?
MoonPay is a service that lets you buy and sell crypto.
In Exodus, selling crypto with MoonPay is supported in many countries, and sales can be made in USD, EUR, or GBP.
Selling crypto and withdrawing to a Visa debit card is supported in various countries, while withdrawing to a bank account is supported in the US.
Withdrawing to a bank account is only supported in the UK and select European countries if you previously used the same bank account to buy crypto with MoonPay. However, if you are unable to use your bank account, you may be able to withdraw to a Visa debit card.

Which payout methods are supported?
Available payout methods depend on your location. Not all payout methods are available in every supported jurisdiction.
US bank transfers: US bank account that can receive ACH payments
UK and European bank transfers: MoonPay only supports bank transfers for the UK and Europe if you previously used the same bank account to buy crypto with MoonPay. Withdrawals are only supported for UK banks using FPS and European banks using SEPA
Visa debit card: Only Visa debit cards that support Visa Direct payouts (also known as push-to-card, OCT, or card payouts) can be used. Please note that even if your card supports payouts, your card issuer or bank may restrict or block these transactions.
Where is MoonPay unavailable for bank transfers?
In Exodus, selling crypto with MoonPay and withdrawing to your bank account is available in the US.
Withdrawing to a bank account is only supported in the UK and Europe if you previously used the same bank account to buy crypto with MoonPay.
Sales can be made in USD, EUR, or GBP.
Withdrawing to a bank account is unavailable in the locations listed below.

What are the fees for selling crypto?
When selling crypto with MoonPay, there are three types of fees: a MoonPay fee, an ecosystem fee, and a network transaction fee.
MoonPay and ecosystem fees:
You can view the MoonPay and Ecosystem fees a) on the Order Details confirmation screen.
b) Tap or click the Summary dropdown arrow to c) see the Ecosystem and MoonPay fee amounts. To learn more about these fees, visit MoonPay's official documentation: Pricing disclosures.
Network transaction fee:
The network transaction fee is the fee required to send the crypto you are selling. You'll pay this fee from your Exodus wallet when you send crypto to MoonPay.
The network transaction fee goes to the miners or validators of that blockchain that process the transaction. To learn more about network transaction fees, visit: What are transaction fees?
What is the minimum amount of crypto I need to sell?
MoonPay's minimum amounts vary according to price fluctuation and region. Updated minimums will show on the Sell Crypto screen.

How do I sell crypto through MoonPay in Exodus?
Steps to sell crypto through MoonPay in Exodus Mobile, Desktop, and Web3 Wallet.
Ensure you have sufficient crypto for the sell minimums and enough for the network fees.
When selling a token that runs on another network, make sure you have enough of the network's main asset to cover the network fees. To learn more, visit: Why do I pay for my token's transactions with another asset?
Mobile
In Exodus Mobile, tap the Buy & Sell icon.
a) Tap Sell and b) select the crypto you want to sell.
a) Tap to enter the amount of crypto you want to sell, or b) use the slider to select either the minimum or maximum amount you can sell.
a) Select how you want to receive your payment, and b) tap Continue.
a) Enter your email address and b) tap Continue, or c) sign in with your Google or Apple account.
Continue following the steps on the screen. Enter your details and select the withdrawal method. If it's your first time using MoonPay, you'll be prompted to verify your account.
Please note that selling with banks in the UK and Europe is only supported if you previously used that bank account to buy crypto with MoonPay. If you are unable to use your bank account, you may be able to withdraw to a Visa debit card or PayPal.
Review your order details. a) Read the Terms of Use and check the box to agree. Then b) tap Sell now.
Tap Send with Exodus.
Review the transaction details and tap Sell.
Your crypto has been sent to MoonPay, and your order will be processed soon.
And that's it! You'll receive a confirmation email with the details of your order.
MoonPay will save some information to streamline future sales. To have your data deleted, please contact MoonPay's support team.
Desktop
In Exodus Desktop, click the Buy & Sell icon.
a) Click Sell Crypto, and then b) select your payment method based on availability.
a) Select the crypto you want to sell and b) the fiat currency you want to receive. c) Enter an amount of crypto to sell, then d) review the currency you will receive. To proceed, e) click Continue.
a) Enter your email address and b) tap Continue, or c) sign in with your Google or Apple account.
Continue following the steps on the screen. Enter your details and select the withdrawal method. If it's your first time using MoonPay, you'll be prompted to verify your account.
Please note that selling with banks in the UK and Europe is only supported if you previously used that bank account to buy crypto with MoonPay. If you are unable to use your bank account, you may be able to withdraw to a Visa debit card or PayPal.
Review your order details, then tap Sell now.
Click Send with Exodus.
Review your transaction details and click Sell.

How long does it take to receive my payment?
Once MoonPay has received your crypto, the time it takes to receive payment depends on your region and the payout option you chose.
Bank transfer:
Selling crypto through MoonPay as a bank transfer:
US: 3 - 5 business days
Europe: 1 - 3 business days
UK: 1 business day
Visa debit card:
Selling crypto through MoonPay and withdrawing to Visa debit cards can take up to 2 business days.

How do I view my order ID and status?
You can find the order ID and check the status of your MoonPay sell order in your Exodus order history.

The order ID can also be found in your confirmation email after you complete your order.
Mobile
You can find the a) Status and b) Order ID in the transaction details of your order.

If MoonPay requires additional action to complete your order, the status will be highlighted, and you can tap View details to learn more.
In MoonPay, you can view your order status and see why it may be pending or incomplete.
If you started an order but haven't sent the crypto yet, you can complete the order by tapping Send with Exodus. If you have already sent the crypto but it's pending, Exodus will show that the deposit is confirming and prevent you from sending another deposit.
In some cases, MoonPay might ask you to review a new quote before processing your order. In that case, you can continue by tapping Review new quote, then follow the steps to log in to your MoonPay account.
When you reach the confirmation screen, you can review the new quote and the amount you'll receive for selling your crypto. To accept the new quote, tap Sell now. If you don't want to proceed, tap Cancel and refund.
Desktop
In your buy and sell order transaction history, a) click on the arrow to expand and view your b) Status and c) Order ID.

Be sure to check your email for updates from MoonPay on your order.
If the quote for your order expires, MoonPay may email you to review a new quote before continuing. In that case, follow the link in the email to MoonPay’s website, where you can review and accept the updated quote to proceed.
Web3 Wallet

If the quote for your order expires, MoonPay may email you to review a new quote before continuing. In that case, follow the link in the email to MoonPay’s website, where you can review and accept the updated quote to proceed.
