What happened with BitTorrent (BTT)?

When BitTorrent Inc. launched the BitTorrent Chain mainnet (BTTC), BitTorrent (BTT) was redenominated from a TRC10 token to a TRC20 token on the TRON blockchain.

TRC20 BTT tokens on the TRON network are referred to as BTT (or BTTC in Binance), while the old TRC10 BTT tokens were renamed BTTOLD.

To learn more about the BTT token migration, please see this Medium article from BitTorrent Inc.

Exodus supports TRC20 BitTorrent (BTT). TRC10 BitTorrent (BTTOLD) is not supported. This article will show you how to enable TRC20 BTT: How do I enable and disable assets in Exodus?

Why can I no longer see my old BitTorrent (BTTOLD)?

The old version of BitTorrent (BTTOLD) is no longer supported in Exodus. Sending, receiving, and viewing your BTTOLD balance is no longer available.

While you may no longer be able to see your BTTOLD in Exodus, you will still be able to access your BTTOLD with your Exodus TRON private key.

You can still swap your BTTOLD to the new BTT token with the TronLink BTT wallet. To swap your BTTOLD, jump to the guide: How do I swap my old BTT (BTTOLD) for new BTT (BTT)?
