With the Spend Card from Exodus, you can spend your crypto anywhere Mastercard is accepted.

The Spend Card from Exodus lets you spend crypto anywhere Mastercard is accepted. You can add your Exodus Spend Card to Apple Pay or Google Pay to use it online and in stores.

Choose whether the Spend Card uses USDC or USDT on Solana, and set how much it can spend. When you make a purchase, the selected crypto automatically covers the transaction.

What is the Exodus Spend Card, and how does it work?

The Spend Card from Exodus is a virtual card that lets you spend your crypto anywhere Mastercard is accepted.

Spend supported crypto directly from your self-custody wallet while keeping control of your funds, up until the moment you make a purchase.

You decide which crypto to fund your card with and how much to spend. The crypto you allocate stays in your Exodus wallet, and you can continue using it to make regular transactions.

When you make a purchase, your selected crypto is automatically sent from your wallet to complete the payment.

The Exodus Spend Card is powered by third-party platforms. As such, Exodus cannot guarantee the performance of their products/services or that the steps shown and the information provided will always be accurate.

Currently, the Exodus Spend Card is available in the following countries:

Which crypto can I use?

Currently, the Spend Card supports:

  • USD Coin (USDC) on Solana

  • Tether (USDT) on Solana​


Are there fees?

There are no additional fees when paying with the Exodus Spend Card.

Note that you'll pay a small network transaction fee when managing which assets the Exodus Spend Card can use, and when adding, changing, or removing any crypto delegations.

These transaction fees are paid to the blockchain network (Solana) and are not charged by Exodus.


How can I spend crypto?

You can use your Spend Card anywhere Mastercard is accepted. This includes online purchases and in-store payments when you add your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Exodus Spend Card will automatically convert your funds into your local currency at the time of the transaction.


How can I sign up for the Exodus Spend Card?

Here's how to create an account, get verified, and add a funding source for the Spend Card in Exodus Mobile.

  1. In Exodus Mobile, a) tap the Wallet icon, then b) swipe down to go to the profile screen.

  2. Tap Exodus Spend Card.

  3. You will need to create an account and complete identity verification. Tap Get your free card.

    All Spend Card users are required to register with Baanx and complete the verification process through Veriff.

  4. a) Enter your email address, b) choose your country of residence, and c) tap Confirm your email address.

  5. You will be sent a verification code to confirm your email. a) Enter the code and b) tap Continue.

  6. Next, a) select your country code, b) enter your phone number, and c) tap Confirm your phone number.

  7. You will be sent a verification code to confirm your phone number. a) Enter the code and b) tap Continue.

  8. a) Create a strong and unique password for your Spend Card account, b) confirm by entering it again, and c) tap Continue.

  9. Next, you will be required to verify your identity through Veriff. Tap Let's go!

  10. Follow the instructions on the screen to verify your account.

  11. Your identity verification should be completed shortly after submitting. Once it's done, tap Confirm details.

  12. a) Enter your personal information and b) tap Continue.

  13. a) Select your country of residence, b) enter your address, c) check to confirm you've read and accepted both the Card Issuer and Platform Terms & Conditions, then d) tap Confirm.

  14. Next, connect at least one funding source. Tap Go to delegation.

  15. Under Manage Delegation, choose an asset to fund your card. The Solana network and your Exodus Solana address will automatically be selected.

  16. Next, choose how to fund your card:

    • a) Automatic Approval: The card can spend your full balance of the selected asset across multiple transactions. You’ll pay a transaction fee for the initial approval, but after that, your card can spend freely without additional fees.

    • b) Specific Limit: You can set a total spending limit for your card, which can be used across multiple transactions until the limit is reached. To add funds or increase the limit, you’ll need to pay another transaction fee.

    To continue, c) tap Approve now.

  17. Tap Approve.

  18. Next, Slide to approve.

    This transaction will cost a transaction fee. ​

That's it! You can start spending crypto with the Exodus Spend Card.


How do I sign in to my account?

If you get a new device or have a second wallet, you can access your Spend Card by following the steps below.

  1. In Exodus Mobile, a) tap the Wallet icon, then b) swipe down to go to the profile screen.

  2. Tap Exodus Spend Card.

  3. Tap Sign in to your account.

  4. Enter a) the email address associated with your account and b) your password, then c) tap Sign in.

  5. You will receive an SMS from Exodus containing a verification code. a) Enter the code, then b) tap Continue


    Once logged in, you can manage which assets to fund your card, change your spending preferences, view your transaction history, and more.


How do I log out of my account?

  1. In the Exodus Spend Card portal, tap your account icon.

  2. Tap Logout.​


How do I manage my Spend Card?

How do I view my card details?

  1. In the Exodus Spend Card portal, tap View card details.

  2. Here you'll see your card details, such as the cardholder's name, card number, expiry date, and CVC.


How do I manage which assets fund my Spend Card?

  1. In the Exodus Spend Card portal, tap Manage delegation.

  2. Under Manage Delegation, select the asset you want to fund your card with. The Solana network and your Solana address will automatically be selected.

  3. Next, choose between the following approval options:

    • a) Automatic Approval: The card can spend your full balance of the selected asset across multiple transactions. You’ll pay a transaction fee for the initial approval, but after that, your card can spend freely without additional fees.

    • b) Specific Limit: You can set a total spending limit for your card, which can be used across multiple transactions until the limit is reached. To add funds or increase the limit, you’ll need to pay additional transaction fees.

    To continue, c) tap Approve now.

  4. Tap Approve.

  5. Next, Slide to approve.

That's it! You can start spending with your approved spending limit.


How do I remove an asset?

  1. In the Exodus Spend Card portal, tap Manage delegation.

  2. Slide to approve the connection.

  3. Under Manage Delegation, select the asset you want to remove from your card.

  4. a) Tap Approve a specific Limit and b) enter "0" as the amount. To continue, c) tap Approve now.

  5. Tap Approve.

  6. To confirm, Slide to approve.


That asset will no longer be available to spend and won't be included in spending preferences.


How do I set a spending priority?

You can set a spending priority for your approved assets. Once set, your card will use funds in the order you selected. If the first asset doesn’t have enough to cover the purchase, your card will automatically spend the next asset on your list.

  1. In the Exodus Spend Card portal, tap Manage priority.

  2. Spend Card will prioritize spending authorized funds in the order you set.

    a) Drag and drop authorized assets into your preferred order, then b) tap Save priority.


How do I freeze and unfreeze my Spend Card?

If you think your Spend Card has been compromised, you can freeze it from the Card Management section. You can unfreeze your card anytime.

  1. In the Exodus Spend Card portal, tap Card management.

  2. Tap the toggle to freeze or unfreeze your card.


Where can I see credits from refunds?

If you get a refund, or if a transaction is reversed, you will receive a credit on your Spend Card. Credits will be used as the first funding source for any future purchases.

  1. In the Exodus Spend Card portal, beside Credits, you can a) see your available credit balance. To view refunds and reversed transactions, b) tap Manage.

  2. Here you can see refunds and any reversed transactions.


How do I view my purchase history?

  1. In the Exodus Spend Card portal, scroll down to see your purchase history.

  2. a) Search by keyword or b) filter by date.

  3. a) Tap the drop-down arrow beside any purchase to b) see its details.
